Crown Prince Naruhito, a former student of the Oxford University and alleged anglophile, was crowned Emperor on the first of May. That means Japan now enters a new imperial era and the name chosen is for this era is Reiwa, “beautiful harmony”. This will be an eight part story where we will look at furniture, clothing brands, makeup and of course; amazing Japanese ceramics.
