A warm, subdued and moody setting. Norm Architects show how minimal interiors can be warm and cosy, while still highly functional on board Bella, a brand new 22 metres yacht.
Bella is the first of the Y/Yachts model Y7 and was developed in cooperation with American designer Bill Tripp, considered one of the world’s best naval architects. The goal was to combine comfortable sailing with competitive sailing performance and like all Y/Yachts formats, “Bella” was manufactured in Greifswald by Michael Schmidt Yachtbau.
The stunning interiors of the Y7 were designed by Danish Norm Architects. Their approach to interior architecture, minimal aesthetics and materiality has been translated and applied to the yacht settings. The use of built-in lights, natural materials and matt finishes bring out a warm and exclusive feel throughout the interior.
We aimed to achieve a simpler framework by correcting the unnecessary elements of the boat and embracing the natural curves of the ship.Norm Architects
